The Nancy Farmer art calendar 2025
Inspired by my swims at Clevedon, the Lake District and Poole, in fair weather and foul!
An ideal Christmas gift for a swim buddy or for yourself.

Welcome to my 2025 calendar offering, and this one is special. Of course I have tried to make them all special over the years, but at the end of last year I suddenly switched from digital drawings back to real pencils, and I had so much fun that I stuck with them, and it's been even more time-consuming but very enjoyable to get all the 12 pictures done in time, in pencil, for next year. The drawings feature our local favourite swim spots - Clevedon Marine Lake, and the beach by Clevedon Pier - as well as a sprinkling of Lake District swims and one very silly swim that happened at Poole.

Perfect to brighten your year, that ideal gift for your swimming friends, a place you write down your swims, or just enjoy the pictures and the silly stories of this life-enhancing pursuit that we all love. And the other special thing is that this calendar is bigger than usual - 11 out of 12 of my drawings insisted on being nearly square so a square calendar would not do, there would be no room for text, and I know some of you tell me you enjoy the text too because you tell me so :-) So it's A4 size and opens lengthways.

As usual I've laid out the calendar grid by hand and included the corresponding moon for that night too. I know many swimmers who love night swims by the light of a full moon, or maybe want a dark night for skinny dipping! ...and for those of us who swim in tidal water, the phase of the moon can also be handy to know. So I hope you'll find it not only entertaining but useful too.
